A Welcome from the Chapter President
Greetings and welcome to our chapter website. If you are not already a member of our chapter, we hope to get to know you in the weeks and months ahead. Like all UNA-USA members nationwide we support the goals of building understanding of and support for the purposes and undertakings of the United Nations among the American people. Our education, membership and advocacy programs emphasize the importance of cooperation among nations and the need for American leadership at the UN. Similarly we join with all other chapters in promoting four specific current goals: securing US funding for the UN and its agencies; advancing human rights through the UN; encouraging US adherence to international treaties; and, supporting the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). UNA-USA is dedicated to educating, inspiring and mobilizing Americans to support the principles and vital work of the United Nations, strengthening the United Nations system, promoting constructive United States leadership in that system and achieving the goals of the United Nations Charter. UNA-USA Princeton-Trenton Area Chapter is working to foster education and understanding of the UN, and to foster connections for global social progress in the Mercer County and Monmouth County area of New Jersey. |
